How to play an easy game with a hundred square



Brilliant fun ways to help your child to develop an understanding of our number system up to one hundred.

Download, print or display and play.

Hundred square mystery numbers game


☺Download and print a hundred square.
☺Cover a few squares with some counters.
☺Take turns to guess a hidden number.
★ Pass it on ★ On your turn talk about the patterns you have used to help you work out what a hidden number is. For example say “The number below forty six is ten more than forty six, so it’s fifty six.”

☺Download and print a hundred square.
Download and make +1+10 spinner.
You will also need a counter each, placed on the number 1 square to start.

☺Take turns
☺Spin and move forward that number of squares
☺Race to 100
★ Pass it on ★ On your turn talk about how you know where to move your counter to when you score +10. For example say “thirty two plus ten that’s forty two, move one square down.”
☺STry a more challenging version using a nearly blank hundred square.
★ Pass it on ★ Talk about the numbers you land on.
